Operatives pay nothing — the platform is free for them forever and they always receive their full agreed day rate. Hirers pay a sliding platform fee on top of the day rate: 30% for days 1–2, 20% for days 3–7 and 15% from day 8. Subcontractors pay a flat 5% of contract value on completion.
Operatives are verified on identity, CSCS card, right to work and declared qualifications before they can respond to placements. Hirers and subcontractors are checked against the Companies House register at sign-up. After every placement workers are rated across six categories, and consistently low-rated operatives are suspended.
All payments are processed in-platform via Stripe. The hirer pays when work is confirmed, and on completion the worker automatically receives their full agreed rate — no invoicing or chasing. Permanent placements include a 28-day banded refund guarantee.
